Why homeowners book this

Creosote is why chimneys catch fire

Burning wood leaves a tar-like glaze inside the flue. Once it is thick enough, a hot fire in the firebox can ignite the whole chimney.

A blocked flue pushes carbon monoxide inside

Nests, leaf litter and a collapsed cap send combustion gases back down into the room instead of up and out.

Inspection report in writing

You get the flue condition, damper operation and cap status documented — which is also what a home insurer asks for.

Book now, burn in October

September and October fill up fast. By December most sweeps in the area are three weeks out.

Questions we get a lot

How often does a chimney need sweeping?
Once a year for a fireplace in regular use. The NFPA recommends an annual inspection regardless of how much you burn.
Will it make a mess indoors?
No. The sweep works under negative pressure with a HEPA vacuum sealed at the firebox opening.
I only use the fireplace a few times a year — do I still need it?
Yes, for the inspection at minimum. Animal nests and cap damage happen whether or not you light a fire.
